Camera Classes

CAMERA COMPANY offers photography classes at various levels to improve photographic skills. Each provides practical tools to apply to your craft. There are no formal pre-requisites, but we discuss previous experience with each student to assure maximum benefit. Your success and enjoyment are important.

Individual instruction is available on an appointment basis to fit your schedule. Most courses include field trips to interesting photographic destinations. Number of students per class is limited, and most basic photo students opt for one-on-one instruction, a rare opportunity. Expert instructors also practice photography, assuring real-world expertise. Supplied study guides include practical and lasting information.

The following classes are offered as interest and demand are present:

*Basic Photography, Course One - 6 classes including 1 field trip, assignments and critiques, plus 1 final critique (minimum 14 instruction hours plus assignments) -As basic as "how to hold it", but serious coverage of factors in sharpness, exposure values, backgrounds, light quality, composition, long & wide lenses, and elementary flash. Goal: "SHOOT ON PURPOSE".

Fees: Basic Photography - Course One - (7) sessions, 2+ hours each
1. One student - $650, incl. use of manual camera as needed, study guide materials.
2. Two students - A 10% discount per person from one-person price.

After completion of Basic Photography, Course One, individual students may opt for a class-by-class course of instruction going more deeply into photographic skills and specialties. Subjects might include advanced lighting, photojournalism, fine art, image presentation, studio equipment operation, darkroom instruction, etc. Advanced study curriculum is determined by student needs and scheduling desires. Charges are determined on a per-class basis, often grouped in 3- to 6-class segments, often with similar pricing to Basic Photography listed above.
